As Buildcorp celebrates our 30th anniversary in 2020, we remain as committed as ever to building a strong pipeline of men and women in construction, community and rugby. We are doing this not only through our investment and advocacy but also by ‘walking the talk’ in our own business.
Thanks to the high performing men and women of our sponsored clubs, at least half of our premier grade teams have finished top of the ladder more than once in the last five years, and many of these players have gone on to represent state and Country. However, the key impact metrics are in participation growth and opportunity, and we are pleased to report:
Since 2018, women’s rugby VXs registrations has experienced an almost 50% increase year on year.
38 (and counting) Buildcorp Super W players have also represented Australia in the Buildcorp Wallaroos squad. With a blockbuster year of Wallaroos test matches in 2020 and a 2021 world cup ahead, there are more opportunities to progress than ever before.

Buildcorp was awarded ‘Employer of Choice’ by the Australian Business Awards two years in a row (2018 & 2019)
Buildcorp’s female representation is 21% higher and female manager numbers are 30% higher than our peer group average.
Buildcorp’s cadet program achieves at least a 50/50 balance of men and women.
Where possible we offer flexible work solutions that appeal to both men and women as they navigate periods of personal change in their lives
We continually seek and attract women and men working in parallel industries with transferable skills looking for a different challenge.
IN THE FIELD
Buildcorp offers a university rugby scholarship open to men and women undergraduates.
Buildcorp is an inaugural sponsor of the International Rugby Academy (IRAA), developing next generation male and female leaders in rugby. This sponsorship included 20 bursaries to support female participants.
Our people participate in the Property Council’s ‘500 Women in Property’ program, Girls in Property program and Diversity Committee.
